I thought, it could be interesting to visit the places bound with the knights of different orders. Here is my first attempt.
Teutonic Order.
Malbork in Poland was the capital and Castle of Teutonic Knights, Pomerania

Maybe the castle of Trakai in Lithuania had seen the teutonic knights too...

Haven't heard of this Teutonic thing. Thought it was some layer of rocks or something! But really, the pictures you posted are very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThere were different Knight Orders and they have very interesting and sometimes misterious history like Templars. Every order has places where it was operating. Mostly those are castles -the normal diffence building in the Middle Ages. These castles are bound to many legends. So. I think. it would be interesting to explore these fields. At least in the blogs.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, were there sorts of military orders in your parts? There were samurai in Japan, but I think they were similar organizations in other countries too.
