Looking for La Scala in Milan

Milan is one of the places I visited in the period you missed me here in internet. Yes, I was so fortunate this spring to allow me a brave vacation. This is why I accumulated so much work than can't sort just for about a week. But when I was in Milan, the life was too nice for me: I had nothing to do except enjoying the walks here and there.

To have everything under control, I buoght a good map (did you notice that the modern maps are a disaster? You can't understand anything there. Streets, places, what else... the unique thought the map makers have when they create maps is where will they place advertising.

Well, I understand, the modern world is only advertising. But give me a normal map, too! I accept the idea that I have to see banners etc. But I need a map...

So, I opend my map and began to think about my itinerary. One of the points was the theater La Scala. I heared soooo much about this theater every year  of my life! I thought, it has to be an enormous building similar to the cathedral all covered with diamonds and gold maybe. Something like this.

The theater was not too far from the cathedral. 2 or 3 sttreets far.

I studied the itinerary and entered the Gallery. We have a Gallery here, in Naples, too. But these two have nothing similar. Naples has not place for such enormous works like Gallery of Milan. Imagine that all those windows are only shops and studies.

I did not stop in the gallery not only because I had other aims this time, there were too many persons there and it was practically impossible to pass through the crowd. No matter. Only some passes - and I go out in the little square with a statue in it's center.

Intended to find the theater as soon as possible, I wanted to cross the square when my eyes stopped on this poor man, choosed by pigeons as their observatory position. The face of the man with white stains on his face seemed very very very unhappy.

I went round the statue to see if the pigeons like any other figure, raised my eyes and...

It seemed to me, he smiles about my stupid tentations to find... senseless things. Ashamed, I remembered my original intention to find La Scala theater that had to be not too far from there, and turned back to the big street from other side of the square.

According to the map, I had to go right there to the second crossing.

I was ready to continue my way when something -I can't say, what- attracted my attention. That building in front of me had absolutly nothing special. Nothing. But... it was the teather La Scala. Here, and not other two crossings on the right.

Now, thinking about it, maybe I noticed playbills on the wall?

From that side, the square with Leonardo looked so:
