Cheap Vacation: Path of the Gods and Praiano (Positano) Beach

Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli Dei) is surely one of the most known sightseeings of the Amalfi Coast and you will hear about it many many times when you come there. It's an easy and good created walk for every tourist even if you will need (trekking) shoes and maybe an alpenstock (to feel yourself Great Courageous Tourist). But there are different other paths that begin fro the same place and we will visit one of them today.

In this post I'll tell you about one of the ways to have an unforgettable cheap vacation in Amalfi Coast. We will walk long a very beautiful mountain path and arrive in Praiano (near Positano) to swimm there.

Best time to go there: there are only 2 months when the clima is too hard here and these are July and August. This year we have ufficially recognized +50 C° from July. It's insane walk on the mountains in this period if you are not accustomed to do it normally.

Where to live to have a Chep Vacation in Amalfi Coast?
Well, honestly, I personally would not book a hotel in Praiano or Positano because they are too far from the other life, and it's difficult to go out from there. The only reasonable way is a ferry, but it costs much morre than a bus. From the other side, I do not like excessive quantities of stairs (look at my photos). So, the most far town I would go in is Amalfi. But everybody has own preferences. So, give a look at these accomodation offers: I find always good prices here. From Amalfi you can reach the Path of the Gods (Bomerano bus stop) if you take the bus for Agerola. By the way, this bus goes to Naples.

The rock on the right is the beginning of the Path of the Gods, but we go left today. Marvelous landscapes, infinite sea and sky. Tooooo beautiful, believe me.

Finally, after 2-3 hours of the walk, we arrive to the stairs of Praiano and begin to go down to the sea. The beaches are not large, but you will enjoy swimming so much after a walk!
You don't need to go back at feet than. Busses pass every hour both to Amalfi and to Sorrento, I think, there. So, you can stay till the last bus on the beach.
