In this photo, you see a large shopping mall in Moscow.
QUESTION: Does this mall sell e-cigarettes? Can you prove your opinion?
I will publish the answer later :-)
Moscow is the capital of Russia. The photo I present here was taken some days ago for me there.
🏰✨ This vibrant city has a curious story behind every corner, from the iconic Red Square to the breathtaking Saint Basil's Cathedral.
🇷🇺✨ As you wander through the bustling streets of Moscow, you'll find a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, creating a unique atmosphere that captivates visitors from around the globe. It offers a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave you in awe. ✈️🌍
Why is Moscow called Moscow?
Because the city was built on the Moskva River. The river is named after the area: there is an assumption that this word meant “swampy” in ancient times.
Do you think that Moscow has only one river with the same name?
No, there are more than a thousand rivers, streams, and springs in the city, but most are located underground (for example, the Neglinnaya, Yauza and Khodynka rivers). They were artificially driven underground so that they would not interfere with the development of the capital. This trick was first performed in the 18th century with the Neglinnaya River, “placing” it in a tunnel. Today it flows underground, flowing into the Moskva River, and on the ground, a street of the same name stretches along its bed.
