First and second of tham you will find in Piazza Mercato.
Oooo!
This is really great place to listen to the stories. But rarely a "wild" "external" tourist would visit it.
Here is the church basilica-sanctuary Santa Maria del Carmine.

Why most treasures are collected in churches in Naples? It's easy to understand: because there were many, many centures of all kinds of natural disasters in this region. Everything that was not very stable did not have long life. But the churches were always highly considered by all the population and they had money to repair damaged parts more quickly than others.
Basilica del Carmine can tell you about the last discendant of Frederick II, and you know it probably. But you hardly know the story of this Crucifix you see on my photos. When a nephew of Alfonso V of Aragon shot out the church of the biggest cannon of the time and the ball passed near the crucifix, Christ leaned his head to avoid the hit.
One time in a year the Miraculous Crucifix is open and you can pass near Him.

The other story is about the two heads under the clock of the church of S.Eligio Maggiore. Oh, you HAVE to enter the church if you find it open. It's simply fantastic. Incredible beauty of untouched gotic.
But the heads tell us a sad story of a girl. One noble man from very important family fall in love with a simple girl, but she did not want to have relation with him. So, the man threw the father of the girl in prison and wanted her in change of the fathers freedom.
The family of the girl asked the wife of the king for justice. The noble man had to marry the girl, after that he was beheaded.

The last story of this post is about a queen. You will listen many times about her when you come in Naples or in Sorrento. I tell you about Joanna II of Naples.
This church is situated 15 minutes from the central railway station of Naples. San Giovanni a Carbonara.
Joanna becomes the queen at her 40 and, probably, needed to establish the order after her brothers death. One of the signs of it is the burrial monument she created for her brother. Behind it you will enjoy the chapel of one of the lovers of Joanna.
